Full Service not including Belts Portsmouth/Hants

Morning all after some sound advice.

Just bought a 182 with 67k on the clock its an absolutely lovely car. It was last servicedat 52K when all belts and Oil was changed.

I managed to get a quote from a local independant Renault specialist today in portsmouth and was quoted £300 having looked on the forum ive seen the servicing guide and felt with belts not included this was a little steep?

Can anyone advise me, suggest a garage?

Alternatively I'm happy to do the service myself, I've done many before. However id like opinions on the best parts to buy?

If it was £300 it looks like you've been quoted a 36k service with aux kit change.

I expect you spoke to John, service is £80 plus parts and vat.
works out around £225-250 usually, genuine parts used.
oil, air, pollen, spark plugs, brake fluid, coolant,fuel system cleaner & engine flush, full check over , clip test and roadtest.
Or you could try Sewards LOL then you wont think thats expensive!
If you want the aux belt kit then Im the same price as Ktec.

Hmm. If you fancy it whilst the weather is nice you could do all the above yourself for about a 1/3 to a 1/2 using club discounts. That's not exactly skimping on parts either...

Obviously you don't get a stamp, someone has to be in to sign for all the bits, you don't get a Clip test or general look over which from such a well renowned specialist and for a new car could be money very well spent.

Spot on well I did some digging on my car and found that it's got new plugs in it and good air filter so looks like ill be booking it in for oil change and the rest of the filters etc. Thanks for your advice.

Further recommendation for Mike. He's looked after mine for 3 years now. He wouldn't have so many recommendations and testimonials if he was ripping people off. You can be sure you can leave your car with Mike and get good service and reasonably priced.
