Gaz coilovers fitting fronts.

sounds a bit daft but run me through it!!
i seem to have a lot of the strut top sticking throught. not enough to touch the bonnet or anything but more than the standard ones.
best part of an inch?
have i fucked something up!!
just leaving it parked until i figure it out.
changed struts and spring on cars before but never been uncurtain like i am now.
what parts do you use off the old strut if any?
help please lads much appreciated.

you mean the piece that is attached to the not that sits under the bonnet or the part that sits just on top before you put it on. there is the black sort of triangle bit that came with the coilovers like ^ shape!!!!

my konis stuck through loads i thought there was something wrong put a pic up on here and people said it was fine. just the standard strut top mount screw it back on, all it does is stop the unit falling out!

but the part that sits on top of the spring (on the coilovers) looks to narrow to hold a decent support on the spring top.

did it come with the coliovers? i thought all the bits on top of the spring come with the coilovers? i dont acutally have coilovers just springs and shocks.

the strut tops on my gaz's stuck out quite a bit! i think thats just how they are! when fred fitted them we just dropped the bonnet very lightly and i hoped to god that they didnt ping the bonnet! lol
