right!
after buying a new box last year with 3000miles on it i had it fitted by a localish garage a week after which it was coughing up oil out of the breather, i dropped the car off in which i got it back they said "there was a little to much in and we've extended the breather"
From this point when ever i caned the car or took it on motorwat runs it still coughed up oil and me thinking i shud put sum back in i did instead of taking it back,.
Then the next point was it started grinding under full acceleration, so i thought must be the mounts so i purchased lower and upper gbox mounts.
i remove all oil from the gbox and fill it back up with fresh up to the correct level and restore the breather hose to 2"'s rather then over a foot long! i come to do the top gbox mount, I remove the battery and the top mount isnt even fadtned up at all its completely loose! all of it, i couldnt f*cking believe it, Anyways i took off the old mount and replaced the top one and made sure it was tightened up proper! and then i loosed the top engine mount and pulled it as far forward as possible.
I clean up and then go for a spin wait for the oil to warm up then do about a 5 mile stretch at 100mph there and back then have a tussle with a bmw 318cab thing which i cained arrive back home to the pleasure of notting there's no gear box oil everywhere not even in the breather!
