The gearbox is very dirty looking(tried cleaning with gunk before) would black or silver be best? also would the same type paint as the one above be okay? thanks

Martin. Car Track 182 Apr 5, 2013 #2 That stuff looks sufficient. Colour depends on what colour you want it. I will probably do mine silver at some point.

Just brought it to the attention of the Op just incase he was not aware. However that is for track use, might be different for road cars etc.

172lover Car Williams Apr 19, 2013 #10 Thanks for the repkys lads Finished the gearbox anyway My my what a difference!!! :evil: A sweet ph1 172 gearbox on 65K miles It will spruce up the engine bay a little bit Also got a bit carried away with the spraying... Also painted.... Two driveshafts, gearbox bolts, 1 Wishbone, 1 Shock. Must do the other wishbone and shock shortly. Hopefully the engine will be okay with the high tempreture paint :/
