Its the way of the world. Renault do them slevs no favour advertising it with variable valve timing but then again there not truely lying and it sells cars.
Cams are only worthwile if your remapping with other mods IMO.

too true, yet wht does evry mnumpty keep on going on about the 5K kick. Surely just enjoy and revel in the way Renault have done so damn wekk with the engine. Granted Honda do better yet we all enjoy the kick.

Let the young'uns feel it is the VVT and do the "pub talk" I enjoy it.

I would love to spend some money on my engine, yet it's a company car again, third RS Clio.

Unfortunately no one can afford to modify a new car and expect to maintain any warranty, or potentially insurance properly.

I'm sad as I would gag at the chance to spend £3K plus to give the rewards.

Dealers say the same though its just one of those things.
I'd have no worries about modying a car with warently Renault have to prove the chnages were responsibe for the failure to refuse waently work I've never had trouble the delaers just send the bits to Renault and get refunded so they don't care as long as there paid.

Well well Blaze....
Not only an expert driver, but also an expert on engines as well.

We are obviously mere minions with our uneducated "pub talk" in comparison to your expertise in this field.

Fair enough some people may be mistaken when it comes to knowing the difference between VVT and VTEC (obviously you will now explain this is great length and with superb detail) but there is no need to be condescending.

Just a thought..
