Going rate for a 172 / 182 engine?

Just out of interest, whats the going rate for a 172 or 182 engine these days?

On ebay they seem to be around the £500+ mark - 8 years back i managed to bag a low mileage one for only 350 quid :S

Is 500 notes top end money or typical average price?

Sold mine for £400 a couple of months ago could have held out and got a bit more but wanted rid of it out of the garage. Generally see them knocking about for £450/500. Bit less for higher mileage engines.

Was just bare, no brackets or inlets.

I normally price mine at £350 if running well and around 100k. Adjust price from there dependant on mileage & age..
