Group Buy - Coilovers

  TTRS & V50
I see people wanting coilovers quite a bit, so i was wondering if anyone could set up a group buy for coilovers, i was thinking mid range as h&r are pretty pricey, so something along the lines of FK ?

I know you have to be a member for group buys, but ill sort that soon.

Anyone interested?

I'm not sure what's recommended by people who've used the different sets but if we settle on a decent product and can get a good price then I would be very interested :)

Basically, they wont be h&r, due to getting the numbers to fork out for a set of coilovers at that price would be hard.

So it would either be FK Highsports or Konigsports, prefrebly the Konig's, but maybe able to get a deal on both !!

Also for the different models, basically all the FK's costs the same for the 2.0 16v's and the 1.2's plus, although different fitments, they cost the same, so the deal SHOULD apply to both.

I'd be interested in the Konigsports if the price is ok. It says height adjustable on both axles, so i take it thats front and rear?

These are the prices to beat then, incl del.

Yes, an email has been sent to them, couldn't believe they were are 100 quid cheap than k-tec for the same product.

Yes, Konig-sports are fully adjustable front and rear in height and dampening.

so thers no chance for a 1.4 16v?

Yes hopefully, its the same fitment/price iirc.

I'm considering but:
Q1. What would be a typical cost for fitting?
Q2. Set-up - will it require a specialist? so £?
Q3. Would the units with fixed dampeneing be more of a plug n play?
thanks

Yea I fitted my FK highsports and they were dead easy!! But if your not a very practical person and you do´t like getting your hands dirty, I don´t think it´s that expensive to get them fitted else where.

Prob around £120 to get them fitted !! Or do the rears your-self and get someone to do the fronts !! ;)

dont forget £30-40 to track your car after, changing the suspension parts + ride height often effects the toe/camber.. i dropped my 5 50mm or more and the was out by miles..

dont be cheap, make sure your camber/toe etc is set up correct, you can get camber adjusting bolts for £20 or so.

good coilovers - poor set up = waste of money:)

Couldnt agree more. The setup is by far the most important part of coilovers. Like dave said, Poor setup= waste of money!!!!
Dont cut corners!

Typical cost im not sure about, but would be anything from 100-250 quid.

Id advice you to get them setup properly (this is different to fitting)

Fixed dampening is more plug and play yes, but still will need camber and toe sorted.
