flol, I've not been bothered to look at any GT5 threads for a long time, but coming in here and seeing that pic is priceless tbh. If I didn't rely on the PS3 for Blu-Ray I'd sell it, what a joke.

I have both and will admit that yes Gt has rain and night racing but as an overall driving sim forza 3 beats gt5 so 4 will leave it standing. Gt5 was such a let down for me included as I got a ps3 just for it.

The only thing that would save it is if all cars were premium but that will never happen.

Forza looks Toss compared to GT5 FACT, but also FACT is that Forza sound better etc still prefare GT5 to forza because lets face it playing a racing game without a wheel sucks arse and GT5's awesome with a wheel as Christopher knows.

Update for this is truely shocking, an Epic update would have been getting rid of 800 fuckin woefull looking cars and giving us maybe 100 premium cars in exchange, also some older tracks, as stated in current update saving during endurance races, more photo locations, more RM cars theres more i want just cant remember all of them

When you play GT5 with a decent wheel its awesome, I bought myself a G27 and its epic when sitting in a corbeau racing seat. Controller its average, really would recommend getting a decent steering wheel not a sub £100 version

Got both and people seem to forget they are games, so for entertainment Forza wins hands down, so much more content, paint, vinyls etc. If I want it to feel real then I get in my real car. As for the update, whoopeeflippindo is that it? Great cockpit update though lmfaoroflol. The best update would have been to get rid of the stupid roofcam and put it on the bumpercam. That update is seriously taking the ****. The track update will have to be very good for me to even bother turning on the PS3 for GT5.

Please find me some Forza 4 shots that look like these...... i mean even F1 10/11 has weather effects and as for forza 3/4 looking better than gt5 just LOL was watching a vid of f4 with a zonda at the nurburgring and to say it was shocking was an understatement , the track looked like a motorway in some sections and where the hell is the 300m elevation difference? great simulation thats turning out to be:dead:

It's is all well and good picking a race where 200 or so of the 1000+ cars look decent. What about the other 75% of the time where lets be honest, the game looks f**king awful.

For the amount of time in development GT5 gave us what 200 premium cars, around 30+ of which are nissans. then add in the kubelwagen, Prius, Insight etc which all got the premium treatment. You are left with around 8% of the total cars that people will want to use being premium cars.

That quite frankly is a f**king joke.

GT5 90% of the time looks like a game from the last gen, it is that simple. Showing some pictures from a replay, which gets noticeably improved visual quality does nothing but cement that fact.

Oh but it's super awesome with a wheel. No it isn't. It's better with a wheel for sure, but newsflash retards, so are all racers. The fact that you NEED a wheel for it to feel even remotely like driving a car, makes it s**t. Forza has a level of feel and control with the pad that makes GT5 feel like a simplified version of Pole Position on the Spectrum 48k. Pole Position had better sound though. Squeeeeeeeeek...understeering...squeeeeek...still understeering...erm...better just back off until the squeeeeeeking stops, then keep dabbing more throttle until it squuuuuueeeeeks again, then understeer again. SQUEEEEEEEK.

Ok so when we look at GT5 when not in replay or "bullshot" photomode where all the LOD and visuals are ramped up and take a look at one of the standard models which make up 80% of the car line up this is how it looks.

That's not even showing the inconsistent frame rate and screen tearing it suffers.

It's not as bad as people make out and plays ok. I've lost interest in driving games as a whole now though, just don't have the same appeal anymore. I'll probably download the DLC but again will probably lose interest after a week. The only thing I've found interesting are the seasonal races. I didn't even bother finishing A-Spec, let alone B-Spec.

Admittedly it would have been nice to have some night tracks or weather effects but maybe it would have been better for them not to spend all their time doing that and more on making the cars look better (apart from the 200 or so). If we are posting pics of things that one game or the other can/can't do maybe we should post pics of custom paint jobs

LOL @ posting the tiny percentage of pictures of GT5 looking good as justification. Pull the other one.

GT5 is better to drive with a wheel for sure, but as a whole game it's still bad. This 2.0 update only highlights that even more, but you can't tell that to a fanboy.

GT5 has it's highlights, but it's trump card was always it's visuals. Now that FM4 looks better than GT5 on the whole, GT5 literally has no merit over Forza. Let's not even get started on the engine sounds, jaggies, screen tear and ridiculously inconsistent frame rate.

It's a shame as an ex GT fanboy myself, but based on a back-to-back comparison, GT5 falls WAY short of FM4, as shown in the reviews for both from the press.

It was mapped with GPS effective to within 100mm, so I'd strongly suggest the version you're used to is incorrect.

In fact I'd guarantee it. The main thing people say about driving the 'Ring for real, is that you don't get any idea of the massive elevation changes. Pity, they should play FM4.
