Initial user reviews online are indicating that the car driving physics are amazing, I'll reserve judgement until I have played it for myself as I do have my doubts.

who all seem to be fanboys who spend their lives on gtplanet lol

Does look very pwetty. Worth me buying a PS3 for though? Thought not.

Interestingly (or not) a quick search at work brings the reg number of the WRC focus up as a focus in RL too.

/sad.

So 200 or so of the cars you can customise (with aftermarket alloys and the like) and race.

The rest of the "Standard cars" you can just race. No other visual customisation, IIRC?

I do hope this is good when/if it comes out.

I'm missing Forza, was such a good game. My Xbox is redundant now, havn't played it ages due me letting a friend 'borrow' Forza.

what's the deal with "modding" cars in this one? *SPIT!*

will there be the good ol' way (bolt on big turbo, big brakes, weight reduction 3, voila!) or are they carrying on that "perfomance points" thing thye did on Prologue?

this game really is going to be the biggest anti-climax in gaming history.

There will of course be those out there that refuse to hear a single bad thing said about it and I'm sure it will be good enough for a racer but come one....be real here, a game on the current gen console thats been in production for this ammount of time, I wouldn't want it to be "good", it'd have to be absolutley 100% perfect in every single way, and I'd want to feel like I'm actually in the car blasting round real tracks in real life feeling the actual rush of being in a genuine race...and it won't be.

"Probably" + Eleventy.

I really wish games companies would stop releasing these stupidly high resolution, down-sampled images. It's impossible for any display to provide that quality, never mind any graphics card to render them in realtime. The day a console can render a car with that kind of anti-aliasing is...well...in the future.

After the hype and delays, even a 'perfect' game would be somewhat anti-climaxed.

It'll be a great game with shortcomings. Like every other 'great' game in existence. It's clear it has taken too long to put together but that doesnt really bear a lot of relevance for me considering I've not been 'waiting' for it as such. Production could have started 6 months ago for all I care.

Those pics look great but do you honestly think that detail will follow over to the actual gameplay?? I doubt it personally, Pre ordered the game so we'll see i guess

I'd actually love it if this turns out to be fantastic. It would be sensational to get fully owned by my previous thoughts. As exciting as the thrill of the original games. Sadly (thankfully?) I will not be in a position to play it on release. IF it turns out to be able to convey the feeling of grip and interia from ones & zeros through to the player's hands, then it might just yet be awesome. IF we ignore the obvious fallings...

Out of interest what are these 'obvious failings' that everyone is talking about given no one has actually played it yet? Genuinely not trying to start a row just keen to know what I have missed!

2 good points Mr Munson and whilst I can't defend them, they aren't deal breakers.

Car lists are personal, yep they could be a lot better but I suppose if your a ricer you'll be made up lol!

Yes it would be great to have a 1000 premium 'new' cars but I suspect the std cars will look better than anything currenty on the console market. Yep interior views would be nice yep but a negative point rather than a fundamental flaw.

You could have said the joy pad! After putting hours into F1 on the xbox I think the return to the little pad will be a struggle!

Will standard cars have a generic cockpit view or not even the option to drive in that perspective? That would be a bit sucky...

There are 'some' modern cars, just not as many as people hoped.

I've always been a gt fanboy, but on paper this one just doesn't push the boundaries like the rest of the series. For me I'd rather have seen 70% new tracks with the classics available for download later.

Because of the amount of development time this game has set the bar so high it'll be impossible to be reached. Im still shocked I actually bought my ps3 for this title (same as my ps2 for gt3) I'm just glad all my friends have them for online play else it'd be sat gathering dust looking sorry for itself.

FMSL at no interior views not being a fundamental flaw. Are you on f**king CRACK?! f**king LOL!

I love switching between the only playable view, and the other s**t ones. You're right, only a glitch.

nice^^

Any good?. i flogged my PS3 a while ago as i hadn't turned it on for 2 years (have 360 you see), but will buy another just for this game if its good.

The cars that don't have an interior.. What does that result in? You just get a generic interior? Or you have to play using another view?

Last I heard they omit the in car view totally so you're left with bumper cam, bonnet or roof (I forget which or if it's both) cam and chase cam no interior view. Comical lack of continuity for a game claiming to be genre leading.

  BMW E46 330i Touring
That's the first thing I'll say that is properly piss poor. I don't generally use interior views for racing games I've historically played but I imagine that a lot of people will religiously use that view.

If you're used to driving from an interior view, using another camera is going to be a potential game-wrecker. Especially if you use a wheel so would like to, you know, actually picture the driver's view.

Edit - but, yeah, there are 200 cars that have ridiculously detailed interiors. Couldn't have been hard to just include a generic interior on standards though...

Everything else does look and sound fantastic though.

Oyster?

A fundamental flaw would be s**te handling (which stil may well be the case!) just use one of the 200 cars with interior views if its that important to you!!

Are you actually SRS? A racing game that's been in development forever. Indefinitely delayed (sorry, I know it's only been delayed once lol) in the pursuit of perfection. The perfect racing simulator. Missing the things that other racers have had for years. Even some of the missing cars have been in Forza 3 for 18 months. It may well turn out to be a good game, but FFS. Wake UP.

^^But its not missing them at all Roy, theres plenty of cars that have the interior view, even without it it will still be playable it ain't broke - deal with it iirc...

If you can only have 200 cars complete, then only include 200 cars.

If I was making t-shirts and I said I could sell you 200 that have two arms but I could also sell you a thousand, 800 of which will only have one arm. Would that be okay? It ain't broke, it's just missing a bit.

You really are quite deluded on this subject TBH.
