GTR2 - what are your laptimes at Donington?

Yup, it can be if you don't mind loosing the reflections on the track in the rain, and sometimes the race goes funny with the pace car, but if you're hot lapping it'll be fine.

Goto No Grip to the downloads sction for GTL tracks and get the version of Laguna Seca thats there. Once you've got it go into the Laguna folder(it should download in winrar) and open the file called Laguna.trk with notepad and at the top of it you'll see these lines:

MASFile=skies_central.gtl
MASFile=Laguna.gtl
MASFile=LagunaMap.gtl


Change them to:

MASFile=skies_central.gtr
MASFile=Laguna.gtl
MASFile=LagunaMap.gtl

And save, then put it back in the Laguna folder and put that folder into X:/GTR2/Gamedata/Locations.

Job's a good 'un Laguna for GTR2.

New version of the ring for GTR2 is due in the next few weeks, even includes the tourist version wheres the pits is the car park.

Whats GTR2 like??????

Had GTR 1 and loved it. got humped online thought, found it v difficult to get a good setup and to use a joy pad.

It's so, so much better m8. I couldn't even drive the American cars like the Saleen, the 'Vette and the Viper in the original GTR - let alone do a half decent lap. GTR just caned your ass for the slightess mistake you made. GTR2 doesn't. It will still slam you into the wall or dump you in the kitty-litter all too quickly, but you have a far better 'awareness' of when things are likely to go wrong.

If you liked GTR, you will absolutely love GTR2.

I was shaving a full second off a lap, but christ, does that Toledo NOT want to turn-in. If that was real life - I'd have bald fronts within 5 laps..... That slow section in the middle of that circuit is tricky, I find, to do well at.

You really do need the slow in fast out method with the seat, its crap.........massive understeer, then massive oversteer.

I just tried this but it flips me back to the desktop when i select the track....Must be doing somthing wrong

Some tracks have another line that needs changing, maybe thats the problem:

MASFile=TEAMMAPS.gtl

Needs to be :

By the way, did you run on minimal fuel (10 laps) and switch all tyres to soft slicks? May help to shave off a tenths of seconds!

i think im running without any aids at all will have to check .....brakes just seem to be locking up all the time for me im changing the bios slightly to the rear which helps a little.

I'm using manual....setups dont change with semi/pro setups, just the assists that go with them.

P.S. Just done a smidge over 1.27 in the Saleen, I'm modding my own setups, where are you getting them? We should organise a CS race!

Using semi-pro myself, Jamie. The only thing I activate is ABS. Tbh, I've not tried the Saleen at Donny with ABS on, so I 'may' get a slightly better time.

Ben - just buy the bloody thing so that you can own our asses good and proper!
