I had been meaning to paint my Brake Calipers for some time and as the new cleaning gear had turned up I thought i would kill two birds with one stone and give the wheels a proper clean off the car and do the Calipers.

1st up was a good degrease with some BMW brake cleaner I had knocking around, great Stuff this -

I got a pair of the foglight surrounds from streamline carbon, I thought they were meant to go over the top of the standard ones, but they fit ten times better if you remove the old ones, even though it is still not a great fit, theres a couple of gaps!
I also found the finish on them is a bit poor, I found they looked better after 2 coats of laquer and a good compound and polish!

Looks excellent though mate, where did you get the interior bits from if you dont mind me asking? I might consider making my own!

Yeah i know they are ment to bond on direct to the bumper but didnt like the idea of that (I can see them getting stone chipped very quickly) so wanted to be able to remove them easily without damaging paint work, so I bonded them to the original surrounds.

The interior parts were made by Tonyt on here for me.

ah fair enough mate, I wasnt saying you did it wrong, I was just curious as to which way they were meant to fit. I'd be inclined to coat them with some laquer to protect from stone chips ;)

stunner, those carbon bits look sweet on the inside, did u have to send the bits off to tony or does he supply them aswell?
