Halfway through having a 'polish' and it rains!!

  Renault ChaVio
Some one on here is bound to know the answer to this; washed the car this morning, dry it off and park it in the shade to apply Meguirer's Polish. Goes on and off no problem. Then I apply the Carnuba wax. Just as I get the last bit on the car (so it is totally covered in the stuff) the rain starts! And not just a shower – thunder, lightening, the works.

So what now, Yanni? Do I have to start again from scratch? Can I just wait for the car to dry and rub the wax off? Or do I need to rub it off and rewax it?

That Carnuba polish smells nice. I even ate some :D

Have I read it right that you have not wiped the wax off and its rained on the car? - Will be a pain to get it off now! Rewash and re-wax when the rain stops.

Aye. Wax is on the car and not rubbed off before the rain :(
If I get it off, would it be OK just to apply another coat? Surely these products are water based anyway?

Think you'll find most waxes are wax based ;) i.e. water resistant.

Smart arse :)
Hey, I've been down and rubbed it off. Looks fantastic. Had no problems getting it to come off.

Thanks everyone.
