Hankook RS2... or new alloys...

  Ph2 172 Cup
I've been looking to get some more track oriented tyres for my 172 cup. Due to the relative lack of track tyres in 16" (or the massive saving to be had shifting from 16"-15" for the track) I've been trying to get hold of a set of 15" alloys cheap on eBay for a while.

However, today I've spotted Hankook RS2's come in 205/45/16 fitment at about £60-£70 (camskill have no stock). Given the cost of getting the 15" alloys and then fitting new rubber to them, this seems like an option worth exploring. R888's or Yokohama's would be my ideal tyre, but if I can get better than road tyre performance for significantly less then it sounds like a good deal.

Opinions?

I've read good things about those tyres and as said it is a cracking price aswell..... I'd probably go the 205/45 R16 route with the hankooks if it was me.

I think it was Bjorn with his DC% fitted these but it may be worth a Search and a PM to see how he is getting on with them.

im thinking of these for my 16s, heard they are a great tyre and have a good wear rate. not sure how they will wear compared to the pe2s i have fitted though.
