I'm still going through the process of trying to sort out the rear of the 172, and before we get some nice sticky new tyres I thought we'd best check the dampers (bit cheaper & it's got a 3 month warranty, so they'd be.. er.. FREE!
), so up on the ramps it went today for a quick check at a freindly ATS. The bloke muttered somthing about it possibly being lowered, but as I have no reference for what the standard springs look like I can't tell if it has. I'm guessing that I could probably measure from the lip of the alloy to the lip of the arch, does anybody know the measurement? It's as much for the insurance as owt else, because I'll have to declare it...
