Right I'm tracking the diesel soon so far I've put panel filter, green stuff pads and black diamond discs on,front and rear strut braces and put eibach pros on,I've been trying all night to buy some solid top mounts on kam racing and the order just won't complete! I want to remap before I go obviously where is nearest place to me in dagenham?

Braided lines. Uprated fluid. Decent brake pads.

I've used greenstuff on track, and TBH you're better off using a couple of slices of toast.

Definitely consider a different brake pad.

I shouldt be doin the extreme speeds you would do in your sport so pads may be ok so I shall see, what fluid are people recomending these days?

Lol what's wrong with a dci on a track, nice strong anti roll bars healthy torque once mapped and a few other mods should be all good

Trust me, those pads are not suitable for track work. They'll be on the ball for about a lap, then they'll rapidly drop off. If it wasn't for a huge run off, those greenstuff pads would have killed my car the other week. Possibly even me. You do not want to know what it feels like to stand on the brake pedal at 110mph and not slow down :D

If you do use them, please take it easy and come in to cool off very often :)

I'll second that, I don't do track days but the so called "parade laps" at RWS last year which turned out to be a "my car is quicker than yours laps" i was stamping pretty hard after the straights on the 2nd lap and wasn't getting much stopping power....

Cheers for the advice mate what ferodo pads will be good for mine? I don't think id dect the diesel can you imagine the smoke lol

Not sure, dude. I'm no expert. far from it. I just know that greenstuff nearly killed me. It wasn't the fluid, because the pedal was still firm. There was just no friction. I have no idea what's best for your car TBH.

I have Carbone Lorraine pads on order though at the moment.

Ktec Racing. I ordered Brembo discs, Carbone Lorraine pads and braided hoses. Got some Castrol SRF racing fluid ready to roll. You don't need to spend that much though. I like overkill :)

It was because of this hooligan behaviour that there is no parade laps this year :( .... but it was bloody good fun :) :) ;)

I don't get the EBC haters, mine lasted fine on hard braking at RAF marham. They never seam to wear out either.

each to their own aint it, mine failed at 100+

kind of puts you off

I did good 40 mins on the track (bit silly) and they only started to fade end of that, lots of braking from 100+.

I've never tried anything else though.

aye, they were an ok brake pad, per say

but after that i was like okkkayyy, gotta get some different ones on!

if it was a sport OEM are fine but anything on a none sport upgradewise can only help

Ordered them on the net mate 5-7 working days I think it said
I tried to order last night it didn't work but it did this morning

I'm personally not an 'EBC hater' as such. I've had greenstuff on my 182 for ages. As you say, they never seem to wear out. They're fine on the road. They're just crap on track for repeated high speed stops lap after lap. Or at least mine are.

Different people seem to get different results. I used greenstuff pads on my 205gti years ago and they were great, they then changed the formula adding copper and they didn't fade but gave bad vibration and I stoppped using them. Now use Yellowstuff in that and my M Coupe and they're pretty good. For me, DS2500 are the Devil's pads, awful things that break up and smear your discs but they have a good rep on here with people finding them great.
