Having throttle bodies on monday :) :)

  Mk2 172
how much u need and whats needed (cams etc) to get 240bhp out of throttle bodies

ALOT!!! cams, bodies, headwork, low compression pistons im guessing, full exhaust and decat. i guess theres probably more tho. I just want it a bit more drivable which is why im not goin mad. Even if i only get 20 bhp im not too fussed cos the difference will be in the DRIVE of the car. Proper throttle response, low down power, more top end power etc etc. Completely different car im guessing :)

High you mean.
It'd have to be a damn good setup on a F4R to get 240bhp and you may sacrifice a bit of torque. lets not forget that is 120 bhp/litre.

120bhp/litre isn't even really trying ;)

at least having the trumpets at the front of the engine will help with ambient temperatures especially down into the inlet itself. Unlike TU engines where mine has a nice lot of warm air from over the engine to draw into the inlet.

How well are the inlet manifolds on the 1*2 designed, as this is usually the difference between a car responding well to ITBs compaired to other marques.

Theres no reason why it should use more fuel. The car will be more efficient and less restraining it. Modern day cars use way more than they need to because of all the crap on them. fly by wire throttle may arse!!! I wanna decide what im doin with the throttle and how much i want. NOT renault :) he he

EPIC!!!!! Thats all im saying. Fantastic job done. Excellently finished, real top company. Absolutely over the moon with them. The noise alone is worth 3k :):):)
Ill get some pics up asap. They are using my car to demo the new kit as today the have used some extra, new bits that werent on the original kit and lots of new machined brackets etc to show what the complete and finished item looks like :)
They will also use my car in the instruction manual which is why they have taken 2 days to do it :)

  Mk2 172
do u know how much bhp its producing

I dont know mate. Now they have developed the kit they are no longer dynoing the cars. I really couldnt care less what the power increase is cos its completely and utterly irrelevant cos u only have to drive it to tell the MASSIVE difference. Its like nite and day to drive. Thats the only way to describe it. Simple as that. worth every single penny :)

  Mk2 172
this is the development car though, surely they need to dyno it to publish claims...

They have done claims. There own car has this kit on and produced 26bhp more at 7400rpm. But that means absolutely nothinkg. U have to drive it to see the difference. Like i said, day and nite is the only way. It absolutely nothing like a standard car.

oh I can appreciate that, I just thought this was the first car to have had this kit on. I know its not the top end gains that matter with ITBs
