Headlight correction, done!

Car  RB FF 182
Hey guys, decided to try and correct my headlights today as they were pretty crap!

Very pleased with the final result, can only upload one photo so may as well be the finished one.

They aren't 100% but considering they're 8 years old and I don't have a machine polisher I'm pretty chuffed!

You did that by hand?? Good work. Far too much effort for my liking.

Looks well mate. Good job. I did mine by hand a few months ago, I know how much effort goes into this lol.

How did you do that? Mine are fooked!

Search for headlight correction. There's a guide dude.

I'd definitely recommend getting the polishing bit for the drill. Can't feel my arms. Haha.

My mates got a polisher so I'm gonna give them a going over with that soon too.

Before picture? :)

iPhone camera mate. Doesn't really pick up all the scratches on top half of light. Was pretty poor though.

Didn't intend on taking any pics but I was so chuffed I decided to take a pic of finished product.

Well worth a go if yours need doing.

I did give it ago but my arm ached, drill piece broke and i got bored so they are hazy at the moment. Will do it properly another time :L

Mine look like that normally lol?

Then I envy you for not needing to do it. Lol!

My old dears are alright tbf. Hers is a 55 plate campus, maybe they changed materials on later cars or something to prevent the whole UV damage thing.

Cheers guys.

Spotted a few patches I've missed :-( hardly noticeable though so I think I'm gonna leave well alone now.

Just fitted some 5000k bulbs etc... And noticed the lights have gone quite cloudy again.

Gonna give them another polish but, any hints on how to keep them from doing it again?!

How long did it take? Mine took f**king ages and i'm still not 100% happy with them.

Will start again and work out the few remaining marks when it gets a bit warmer.

Ditto, lol. Just make sure you give it a good base sanding by hand first. The compunds i used on it didnt seem to cut too well.

Sure it'll come out eventually
