Heater doesnt go off

It just doesnt go off, it still goes hot + cold. If i apply any changes to it they do work but it seems to have a mind of its own.
Done some searches and im thinking resistor pack or new Matrix. Renualt have said its $113 for new lcd screen thingy.

Anyone else had similar problems, any help much apprec. As it is starting to pee me off now!!!

Rheostat/resistor pack

Replace it asap or it will blow up your alternator.

Its located under the scuttle panel on the driverside. (its screwed into the heater housing on the outside next to the pollen filter and has a VAG logo on it)

Keep the heater off if possible.

The resistors can i buy them from Renault or halfords?
Scuttle panel is that the bit by windscreen?

Full the fuse out the fan if its continously on or it'll kill it eventually.
