Heater matrix change

Anyone done it on a 172 cup? Got a small puddle behind the centre console of liquid, gave it the taste test and it’s coolant.

Any guides on how to pull the whole dash out? Found the one for the top section already.

Any tricks to do it with the dash in situ?

I took the lower dash out and loosened the support beam, not sure the exact name for it. You might as well take it out as it makes things easier overall

Is it just a case of undo every fixing and see if it loosens the dash at all?

There are some that are not obvious like behind the heater controls, radio has to come out for 2 I think, there are 2 small torx under some flaps in the bottom of each side, both tweeters..

Its not coming out without removing the whole dash.

Steering wheel will need to come off along with the squib. Basicly pulling the entire front of the interior apart. Good luck

its actually not a bad job removing the dash, just time consuming lol

dash top off
dials out
steering wheel off
radio out
trim that goes around the gearstick and houses the cup holders etc out
disconnect connectors from hazard panel, cruise control panel etc etc
disconnect connectors from climate control panel
unbolt all the bolts from dash (take pics on what way cables and earths are routed to make it easier to reassemble but generally they all seem to logically go back where they should.

Hello.

I also have changed the heater matrix on my clio 1.2 16V 2005. But now i am experiencing leaking from the hoses that sticks on the plastic tubes on heater matrix. I have looked inside and saw 2 oring. Does any one know what dimensions are they? the plastic tubes on heater matrix are outer diamete 20 mm so im thinking the orings should 19 mm or 20 mm. Any help is much apreciated.
