Heatsoak prevent

Hey does anyone hear know how to prevent heat soak for e.g ive seen heat sheilds on ebay about £10.00 has anyone tried these before. Im getting the KN 57i kit but it sits by the engine quite close so would it be a benefit to make some sort of surround or incasing around it then insert two cold air feeds directly to it any ideas would be great or advice

Use the standard air box?

with the exhaust manifold being at the rear, i couldnt see you suffering heatsoak if you have a CAF

i never did when i used to chav it up with the pipercross
