Help - 182: Removing plastic cover underneath gearstick, holding carpet in.

I'm running some wires down the centre of the car and need to know how to remove the plastic part pictured below so I can get underneath the carpet. Any help / suggestions would be hugely appreciated, need to get this finished this afternoon if possible

I think there's a guide in the guides section somewhere, as I looked when I was taking mine out!

It's just clipped in iirc, remove gaiter & just pull up from near the handbrake.

Yeah, i think it's clipped in at the front, and maybe a screw up at the dash end mate.

Saying that, it's been a long while since i've removed one.

Cheers guys, I used the second response. There was a clip near the handbrake Ide missed. Popped that and have a good couple of pulls and its off.

just pull towards the back of the car and it will come away. well does in the 1.2
