Help advise me please.

Ok I sold my clio last week and was thinking of buying a cheap run around for about a grand.

Wasnt holding out hope of finding anyhting but then I saw a 19 16v chamade (phase 1) and I haggled the guy down to £850.

It has only done 55k and has almost full service history.

Only thing is its in Bolton and I am in Brum, so I am looking at 3 1/2 hrs of train journeys to go look at it.

What do you think worth the trip? My parents think I am mad for even considering it but I have seen a few pics and it looks very clean.

Anyone know any specific problems I should look for? It has just had new wheel bearing + cam belt, but only has 2 months MOT left.

Opinions please.

ask the guy who is selling if you can take it for an mot or if he is prepared to do so then you will send him the £40 if it fails badly and nobody has lost out.

At the end of the day though if you look at http://www.adtrader.co.ukwww.adtrader.co.uk theres loads of cheap valvers on there, they are not going up in value.
