Help Clio Knocking noise

if anyone could help me!!!!! everytime i steer full lock i will hear a clunk noise coming from my car had a look to day nothink seems broke all looks ok but dunno wot it could be.. And the top of the suspension should the nuts and washer spin if u steer because mine spin loose :S

The exact same thing happened to my car when I fitted my coilovers, turned a corner and thought the suspension had decided to unfit itself. My top mounts were spinning too, Ben_r1 sorted it for me and iirc it was something to do with a bearing, so will ask him tomorrow how he sorted it and let you know.

Yep I've had that

You need to check:

Suspension Ball Joints
Track Rod Ends
and maybe the drive shaft

sounds like the cv joint is knackered m8! but if its clunking already u need a new driveshaft u can pick one up for about £50 just make sure u get the right one as there is quite a few out there lol

Strut top mounts? Do a search and have a read of the many threads on that subject. It could be absolutely anything though.

its more of a clicking noise and doesn't happen all the time but my Strut top mounts spin really bad and lift up and down is this normal ???? -

Good chance its the nut catching the shocker due to wear and tear.

iirc its new top mounts you require.

buying a set of coil over tho soon is it just easier 2 replace all the suspension

Dunno Mate its rubbish anit it only when its on full lock tho and not driving

Strut tops is my guess! Theyre prone for it. As far as I know the only way around it is solid top mounts from the likes of AST and are aroud £140 I think. My 172 does it aswell but I refuse to pay £100 odd for solid top mounts so I just leave it

thanks mate i think im going 2 change them 2 coil over and lower in a little bit but really clio falling apart i blame the sub to loud everythink rattles my car needs a good looking over

expecting the worse, it may be the cvjoint boot/ driveshaft that was jus fucked, mine made a similiar noise at full lock

lol yeh ma mate had my car before me and he sed its happened since he go tthe car and nothings happend so am not too fussed. i make my music drown out the nosie lol
