Help, exhaust emission light....

Hi guys,

my exhaust emission light came on today. Car is running fine and no loss in power, the only thing I've noticed is the exhaust is puffing a bit occasionally, like popping very quietly. Any ideas?

Is it safe to drive? Supposed to be doing 100 mile trip to the airport Thursday and don't know if I can get it fixed before then.

It comes and goes on a lot of clios. Mines been on and off many a time. Passed MOTs fine

Cheers, just worried about the puffing, unless it's running lean or something.

That's just in my case mate, sometimes can be a coil pack or lambda sensor. sure others will say for sure

Have you put regular unleaded fuel in it?
