HELP!!!! Fitting a 182 de-cat!!

I fitted it, but it sounds like a tractor lol!

I've had a look, and it seems that the clip that holds the flanges together isn't doing it's job (probably because I didn't fit it properly).

I keep loosening it, and tightening it up again with no success. It appears to be bent, which may be the problem.

Advice?

Get a soundclip up Oms. I had a similar problem at first with mine. Did you have it up on ramps? It might not be on straight and air is leaking out somewhere,the bracket is a b**ch i know!!! Job for two people i think.

you should replace the clamp when fitting IMO

i had the exact same problem with mine mate, about 5 clamps, 10000 gaskets later, i just got it welded together, couldnt be arsed with the hassle

lol... thought it was only me. I went through a lot of gaskets and then eventually replaced the damn clamp. Has to be tight as hell too.

SORTED!

I just went and bought a new clip + some sealant.

5 mins later: Perfect!


The old clip was in sh*te condition. Blueflame could have provided one as part of the kit, just to make it more hassle-free to fit at home.



She's got a nice rasp now, and has a lot more to give after 6k.

PS: 3-4k rattle has now disappeared! Yay!
