Help fitting samco elbow to Ph1 sport

I have just bought a samco induction elbow for my PH1, it fits onto the plenum and the filter fine, but I can't fit it onto the breather. It is the right shape but the hose is too small to fit onto the breather.

Someone mentioned that you had to do a modification to fit it onto a PH1, does anyone know what it is?

yeah had same problem, just cut a slit in mine and pushed it over then put clip round it

Exactly what I was thinking about doing after I'd put that post on. Shouldn't do any harm, has yours been fine since then?
