Help needed: 197 - F4R830 engine .What size socket for OEM rod bolt removal. 10mm defo to small, 11mm is rounding?

10mm defo to small, hex and 12 point

11mm 12 point is rounding? - could it be my socket is to old / worn?

7/16 12 point also rounding.

I removed some rod bolts on a 172 engine yesterday and used a 1/4 drive 6 sided 11mm

Snap on FDX sockets would get these out mate no doubt

6 sided 11mm socket on them and lean your hand against the back of the ratchet head and tug with the other

They do round if you use a 12 point on them, especially on the windygun

They’re great I’ve used them a few times on bolts that have rounded and they take them off dead easy
