help needed on 2 faults with 172

hi guys i seem to have a knocking noise coming from the front of the car every time i floor it in 1st &2nd then goes away i got the cv joint replaced last week but its still there, but now it is idling high and not going down iv tryed the accl cable and throttle body both problems bugging the hell out of me any sugestions thanks

Try oiling the throttle cable with a spray oil, had the same problem on my mk 1, it was a bit sticky.

Id say engine mounts?!
Mine have been done twice now in the space of a year and they need doing again.
Its a knocking noise but its only like 2/3 times when you boot it then it stops.

Yup is the engine mounts - The Clio Sport engines just move alot, I wouldnt worry about it - If you change the mounts the knocking will just eventually come back it is only knocking on the bottom mount close to the heat shield for the exhaust not a problem..

yeah ive tried the lub and no luck my mate seems to think its a thermostat but dont no which one engine mounts sounds as if it could be the winner but the car was serviced last wed would the garage not have noticed im not sure wat they look at in a service thank for the advice

Its the only way I can prevent it from happening lol

im interested in getting a performance exhaust and filter is there any good ones which make a difference i was thinking (k&n filter and janspeed exh) sorry for all the questions ive had the car 3 months and this is the first night ive had to say in and not drive, are there any meets that happen in scotland on a regular basis thank guys
