HELP - Paint: Gonna kill next door's cat >:(

Car  2007 MK3 Clio
HELP :(
Well next door's cat seems to think my MK3 Clio Dynamique S is for climbing over and jumping onto, AND as a result guess what......scratches and a brave few of them !
Wee F**KER has got them on the roof, side's of the roof, bonnet and just everywhere grrrrrr!
I bought the wee touch up stick from renault, they only do ONE shade of black so it was easy to get the right colour, followed the instructors BUT it seems to just put a big layer of paint on top of the scratch which makes it REALLY noticeable, used t-cut but no luck :dapprove:!
Any suggestions as to what I could use to....SMOOTH it out basically?
Apart from a respray cause I'm not loaded :( haha!
Any help & suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated :)!
Cheers, R.J.M

I would shoot it with air rifle! Hate cats to start with never mind scratching my car!

Pretty sure there's a guide on here for doing stone chips with said touch up pens... the process should be pretty much the same.

Bucket of ice cold water over the offending vermin.

Works a treat and you don't have to clean any blood/guts off your house/driveway/face.

You could do with posting a few pics up mate, then the responses will be flying in. For a typical cat mark, i would try polishing to see what it rids of. If that doesnt work then i usually resort to wetsanding. If no luck here then its either a respray or buy a rattle can and have a go yourself as long as you know anyone who knows how to polish properly to rid of overspray. With scratches so fine yet a little deep, ive tried this a few times and works a treat.

Everyone who said to shoot the cat, it's hard not too haha!

Sash - Cheers =)
RS200Lew - thanks i'll give it a shot =)

Read about a few people on here getting their car PC'd, what is PCing and would it be an option for my problem?

Tbh, i cant see a cat making marks so wide in order to touch them up. There would be visible white marks from where theyve been but sometimes can be very fine but deep. If you ever see one on your car, dont scream at it to scare it off = cats will dig paws in to scarper!!! As for G3, its just a compound so depends on depth.

Did you see the cat do it? if you did, you watched the cat do it?!!?

If you didnt how you know it was the cat? As RS200Lew says cats dont leave marks like the ones you are talking about.

Cats dislike citrus fruit, so scatter orange peel.

Failing that, you can get sprays that deter cats.

Or car cover.

this will not affect your paint work whatsoever but if all goes to plan you will piss your pants and split your sides at the same time; spring load your bonnet... hide in aforementioned automobile under some sort of camouflaged sheet... not unlike the ones army snipers use to hide under with your finger gently tickling the bonnet release catch/button (not sure which mk3's have). when said feline comes for its nap, press/pull bonnet release and watch hilarious events unfold.

you can even try and be creative and make a target to hit.

I realised where I got the inspiration for this glorious plan half way through typing so I can't accept any praise for it :(

id love that bonnet release thing for the kids on the street who run their fingers right around my car, might break a few of them when it flings up

I have cat marks on my car and yes they do go deep enough for polishing not to work. There is a good guide on here how to use touch up pens properly.

My dad had cctv installed whenever he got his scooby show car (thing WAS spotless and soooooo sexy =P) he has a recording of the cat slipping off the car roof and scratching the side it fell off, went to talk to the neighbours about paying for it and they basically told him to f**k off, NEVER seen my dad soooooo angry!
THEN I get my car back just from getting a bit of work done, wash it (no scratches at all), go to bed and next morning nice one on the roof, next day one on the bonnet etc etc.
So yes i KNOW it's the cat doing it and I tried the touch up stick, tried G3 and feck all's happening so i have to leave it in to the guy that does my spraying and he said he'll sort it!
Gonna take a wire brush to next door's car anyday cause it's just taking the piss the amount of damage the wee ballocks is doing and they don't care !

if your car is parked in a driveway put a pretend snake near the car, cats hate the things and will stay well away
