car has gone in to renault for a couple of problems!!! they have had it two days now! and they tell me they might finish it today! they havent bothered to sort the alarm as they havent had time - i was told its an 8 hour job to sort this! is it the cam cover gasket or the cylinder head gasket - they will be replacing??? :S

yeah they are Fred - just they have had it for 2 days and still faffing about with it! and havent even bothered to sort my alarm

Bloody Sunwin! i hate the place! guy i have just spoke to said almost all the engine needs to come out! all the engine! No it doesnt!!

as for the cambelt and aux belt it should be changed everytime its removed.. and the rocker cover doesnt come off without removing the pulleys.

so its a lot of work then david just for a little oil leak - did they really need it 2 days??!!

well theyll always book an extra day incase anythin breaks, like acces belt tensioner which are pretty shite, then if its done 1 day early = happy customer

not many people are mate.. ya cant blame the techs tho its all about poor management skills. whats ur alarm fault?

RS+15 it beeps 3 times now and again when i lock it! Dont get me wrong i have time for the techs! not there fault at all! i just dont like the company as a whole!

no after today uv got 72k for next cambelt change and 36 for the acces belt! which is a bonus!

so next service for me is 24k which is just oil filter and airfilter iir
36 which is normally when they would do my cambelt i just have a standard service as above?? ^^

They must tell me this? :S

cambelt doesnt need doing at 36k unless cars 5 years old

Folk need to communicate more with their dealers instead of automatically assuming there 'all' shite and expensive and out to get us.

Ask them in person what their doing, why have they has it 2 days and ask them about the belts.
The advice is to change them. If they arnt going to do that well them tell them you would like it doing

chances are its the parts side of it thats holding the job up as dealers never have a heavy stock of parts in stock especially for rarer Sports versions

your next service 24k is oil filter and air filter. the 36k SHOULD be oil filter air filter and acces belt. although as the acces belt will be changed when the oil leak is done, you wont have to change it until 36k its current mileage. same with the cambelt, 72k from its current mileage. ask reception when u collect the car if theve changed the belts. if they have then the above applies
