is the water in plug hole when the plug is in or water when the plug is removed???

Water can get in there from the air intake, Hence why a cold air closed induction snt a good idea when you go through a puddle

Check your water tank for oil-

dnt think so, i had oil in mine and id drained it of and is ok nw, (touch wood)

Wierd had oil in one of mine to and drained it last Wednesday put after a couple of hundred miles it came back so it was leaking from soemwhere.

A friend suggested I replace the rocker cover seal but as it was also around the top of the cover it must have come from above which indicated the inlet manifold gasket (a orange/red rubbery one). We haven't swapped it yet but I'm going to get the part this week and also new plugs, oil and oil filter to put things right.

I wonder if it's a more common fault than I thought ?
