I have done about 3000 miles on the car and the rear disks, pads, calipers and bearings have disintegrated (originally thought to be the handbrake sticking...if only). This is quite odd I thought, as I dont really use the brakes that hard at all. I asked if this was abuse/neglect/wear and tear or mechanical fault. My mechanics answer was mechanical fault as there is no wear on the front at all (and correct me if im wrong but isnt the breaking bias heavier at the front?). I phoned the garage and they are RAC approved and did their own inspection in accordance to the RAC and provided a warrenty. The warrenty has run out and now I have a £360 part bill! The garage are saying they wont pay a dime as this is wear and tear, but Im worried at the fact that my mechanic said the breaks have never worked and should not have passed the MOT, let alone the RAC full inspection. I phoned the RAC and they said that I should get a mechanical report and take it further... what to do now. Im gonna pay for the repair as I need my car back (T-Sport is shared, so use it in the evenings). What do I do now, who do I contact, as the garage I bought it from are not being helpful at all?
