Help with cup problem needed

  Embarrassed to say

This cup really is something. Just got the group n ecu fitted and it goes like a f***ing rocket. Despite the problem of not being able to floor the car in first gear, its the best car I have ever owned.

So to my question. Is there any dealer within a 200 miles radius of London that can fix my car and thus make it perfect. I am fed up with my car being a guinea pig for garages that just have to guess what the problem is. Description of the problem is - floor it in first on a uneven road and bang bang bang judder judder etc.

Did the dealer fit it? Did R sport tell you it was warrenty approved?

From R-sport. I dont think it invalidates the warranty because i rang renault customer care before I had it fitted and they said the warranty would still be fine.

Yes I told r-sport it was engine mounts and they said they tightened them all. They speculated that it might be something to do with the exhaust touching the engine, so are ordering new parts but this was just guessing.

All i can say is the needle on the rev counter seems to go alot quicker. Bloody love this car, never had a car that has made me so damn excited either driving it/thinking about driving it/looking at it etc.

I have no clue what parts they are awaiting for my car, only that I have to take the car in there soon when they have such.

Why is R-sport a good garage?

I cant seem to access the renault dealers part of the board, even though I am a member. Does anyone know how to access it?

Did you phone customer services and asked about the R sport ECU and they gave you R Sports number? You then got your ECU fitted there and they found some stuff wrong with your Cup and are now fixing it under warrenty for you?

Nothing to worry about just seems strange as I never knew they were a Renault approved garage and also thought the ECU nulled your engine warrenty.

I first rang customer services for r-sports number and they gave me it. I just assumed they would be renault approved. ( Your scaring me, they are a approved garage right. Flipping mission to take my car there from barnet, hope wasnt a waste of time. )

I then rang customer services and asked if the group n ecu would invalidate my warranty, they said no it wouldnt. So I had it fitted by r-sport at the same time I told them to fix the banging thing under warranty.

hhhhmmm im am going to write to R Sport tonight asking for written confirmation of the warrenty aproval. Cheers for the info, if Renault gave you their number then they must be approved also im sure they would have told you tht their not warrenty approved...!

I have come to the conclusion there is no fix for the juddering under hard acceleration. I am sure it is engine mounts because its like there is play in the suspension or something, cant explain.

R-sport recognised the wrong fault when i took it in there, which was the squeeking noises when making full lock turns.

I get this on my Cup (major banging / juddering) but just assumed that its where the wheels are losing traction due to the amount of power going through the front wheels. (cars are different in their characteristics as to how they deal with things) In the wet its awful but in the dry if you let off slightly then re apply the power its ok.

This is not the case I am afraid, its not supposed to be like this. Its only because the renault dealers lack the expertise to identify and find a proper solution to the fault, that I cant get my car fixed.

In the clarkson video head to head, they race a clio 172 mk1 w/out esp, and you see the wheels spin madly there is no juddering or banging just normal wheel spin.
