As an indication we could probably insure a 172 for you for around £950

Unfortunatley We are not competetive on the lower engine size vehicles and our price would probably come out similar on the 1.2 as we would do for a 172.

Thats true ! ^^^

I know Neil gave me an excellent quote for a 182
But for my wee 1.2 he cudnt beat Tesco but was worth a try!

Looks like ill have to trade up soon ;)

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
Its age and mods which bump it up.

Poor folk who declare everything and stay legal always get shafted!

only 2 i'd recommend are Privilage and greenlight for RS models. Privilage seem to be the cheapest but Greenlight the best value when you take into a/c any mods or track days etc.

ps, thanks neil for the quote :)

Neil - do you do car insurance for normal cars? I've got years NCB back now and need something to tide me over on my Nissan Primera.

Darth

We specialise in heavily modified and high performance/hot hatch cars so we probably won't be competetive on the Primera unless its the GT model.

If you are looking to get a performance model i can happily provide you with a quote. If you want to complete your details at www.greenlightinsurance.com we will e-mail you back a figure (please state Cliosport under the club membership question and the details will get passed to me to process as i'm the club contact)

I've just got my insurance through Hyperformance who at the moment seem pretty good as they are great on customer services, but I'm paying £996 fully comp with protected NCD (full NC) and ALL mods declared... but had to have a tracker fitted. This was the cheapest quote I could get by far as everyone else was quoting aroung £1700ish...

Neil, even though I have just insured my car could I waste your time and get a quote, as I just want to see if it's possible I could have gotten it cheaper, as I'm paying more than double that what I was on the Williams. I can PM you my spec and details if you like. Only thing is I'm in Cheshire, near enough to Manchester for most places to instantly give me massively unrealistic quotes.

  Black/Gold 182!
Thanks for your help guys.

That was the cheapest I got with Endsleigh until........

I phoned HSBC (Part of Norwich Union) and got a quote done on there, all mods declared, Protected No Claims! £250 Excess, Free Legal cover. Thrown in with RAC cover.

All for £455.74!! Amazed! I work part time for HSBC which does help a bit.

Cheers for all your help guys!

P.S Neil, thats not bad for a 172, your tempting me ;-)

Hi Mate

Yes no problem at all, if you input your details on our website i'll happily run a quote and see what I can do. You sound like a good risk but the postcode is where we may struggle, if you PM me the postcode first I can tell you if we will be able to quote a competetive rate. Our claim statistics for Manchester postcodes are really bad so depending on your postcode sector we may not be able to help :(
