Helpful Keyboard Shortcuts



Couple of shortcut keys i use all the time on windows xp:)

Alt + Tab ( fast way to switch between windows )
Alt + D ( Change the address in Internet explorer with out clicking )
Windowskey + D ( Minimize all windows so you can see desktop )
Windowskey ( Brings up start menu )
Ctrl + ESC ( brings up start menu )
ESC ( closes some windows )
Alt + F4 ( close the ones ^ does'nt )
CTRL + C ( copy )
Shift + insert ( paste )
Shift + home / end key ( selects the text to the left/Right of the mouse )
Enter ( Instead of clicking stuff lol:) )


That's the main ones i use while useing XP :) What do other people use. ??
 
Ctrl + z ( undo )
Ctrl + H ( Find + replace )
Alt ( on its own to get up to the file,view,edit,Ect)

use CTRL + L at work to lock screen, CTRL + E for explorer and ermmmmm cant think of any others off hand

Right now im looking for a Key shortcut to change ur writing so i can read it lol, I find insert and Shirt easyier as im right handed

Hold down CTRL key and use scroll wheel back/forward on mouse to enlarge/ reduce text in Firefox etc.:cool:

F11 - Full screen in both IE and Firefox. Might come in useful on your car PC.

Holy thread resurrection Batman!

CTRL + D copies the cell above to the cell you're in, or to the highlighted cells.
CTRL + ALT + arrow changes the screen orientation (a useful one for 1 April)
