They didn't make a saloon. This guy did though.

If you have the time, and ignore the sigs, the build thread is amazing. The detail and craftsmanship is second to none.

He started with a 318i Saloon, and a 2003 M3. Every panel is carried over/modified from the M car.

Build Thread.

Finished article.

Looks like a cheap copy all the people who are too poor to own a normal M3 have.

Like when you see a 320 with M3 wheels and bumper.

looks... like.. humm.. a 4dr m3.. ?

Maybe it appeals to those who build random stuff "because they can" but to me.. it looks like a waste of time/money/effort. Perhaps appeals to eastern european s**t mod people.

doesn't quite look right, somehow...
Good effort though! a lot of work has gone into that!
Should have kept the kidney grill(sp?) chrome too, as that looks a little naff..

That site is another perfect example of why sigs are sh*t. Going to have a read of the thread now, if I don't get a sore head from all that crap in every post.

+1,000,000 the car looks ok but would get the reaction of "look at that pleb in a fake m3" round here

LOL @ it being a cheap copy.

It has M3 everything. Rear arches fabricated into the existing saloon items, M Diff, SMG.

He bought a perfectly good M3 to pull apart for it.

M3 Saloons are uber win. You're just all homos. The current M3 even looks best in saloon form.

Haven't read the thread yet, but the csl boot looks awkward with the rest of the car

Sorry Chris, don't see the point either. All that money for an uglier car... all for the sake of easier access.

He said it looks like a cheap copy tbf, ie a 318 with M badges, not that it actually was a cheap copy.

If we're talking e46 engine conversions I prefer the e36 that the lad from StanceWorks has done.

Epic read just gone through the whole thread. At first I thought what's the point but then you appreciate the effort after reading it all. He left absolutly NOTHING un-touched.

Must of cost a small fortune though with all the custom fabrication of body parts/new parts etc...

Anyone else got othe interesting projects too read off other forums?

Apart from the blacked grilles and the boot, it's lovely. More subtle, especially in that colour, than the coupe. Really cleverly built IMO.

If I had the money and a family, I'd be all over it.

He states in the tread that due to Norway's tax regime, it is significantly cheaper to convert to an M3 than register an M3. The Green M3 wasn't Norway registered.

I think it looks stunning:)

Looks prefect to be fair, the only problem is after all that money and hard work its a car you could quite easily not notice
