Hi there, for the past couple of weeks i have been browsing this forum and it looks very informative (and very funny at times), so i thought it was time to register and introduce myself.

My names Ed Johnson and i drive a 2004 clio extreme 1.2 16v
Ive gradually modified it from new and total spent to date is about 10k, with bodystyling, multicolour flip paint, suspension etc.

This forum looks fantastic and i hope to become a very regular user of it.

I'm not into cars in the same way as some of the geeks on here but this place sure is amusing sometimes and worth visiting for that alone:)

I know it started off as wheels and exhaust but just got out of hand and almost addictive, and I often wonder why the hell i did it. Ive stopped now though (hopefully). I would absolutely love a 172/182. I think their raw, untamed and simply fantastic in every way. They do appear to be slightly temperamental after viewing some of the posts about little problems with them. That in my opinion gives it character and makes the car more exciting and almost alive (sounds silly i know)

How do you lot upload pics- Photobucket??

I will add some pics when i get home as im at work currently.

I could have get a 172 for the amount spent but when i bought the car i had 7k saved and was only 18 so had to go for a small engine for insurance pusposes. I planned to keep it a while as its cheap to run so just decided to spend my earnings on the car to make it look unique and a car i would love and not get bored of. now i have it looking exactly how ive always wanted it im gonna start saving for my next car.

10k seems a bit extreme for a 1.2 clio, but each to thier own.

Welcome to the club, if you think that they are raw you want to drive a mk1 clio (williams or a valver);)

Yeah use a photobucket account (or the like) to up load some pics, I woludn't mind seeing some pics of the clio with 10k spent on it.

Im embarrased to say this but what is the valver model, im not that farmiliar with the mk1 range. Is it also known as the clio16v

thats the one mate^ its the 1.8 16v model that is the higest end mark 1 bar the williams. Welsome to the club, and look forward to seeing pics :)

Yeah the 1.8 16v is the second highest spec model of mk1 clio you can buy - only out specc'd by the williams.

It has 137bhp I think
