Hi Guys, im off to look at a 182 Turbo next week

Hi,

We last week i sold my 600BHP Evo 8 and took a Civic Type R in a part ex :(, after 4 days of driving (going slow and making alot of noise) i have decided on getting a 182 Turbo.

I have found one for sale its a Silver 182 Low comp K-Tec conversion was done in late 2010 and has full Renault history. Car looks good and seller seems genuine and main thing is he wants my Civic :approve:

A few questions really, What do they drive like? What promblems do i need to check for?

I have always has a soft spot for Renaults i have owned 2 R5GTT and 2 Williams 2's

Any advice would be good thanks

Hi for sale i have my 2005 '55' plate clio 182 sport in silver for sale with 63,000 miles on clock..

first things first, car has had a 4000 pound low compression turbo conversion carried out by renault specialist tuning company k tec racing, the conversion was carried out at the start of 2010 and i have receipt for full spec list, although i dont have a dyno printout ktec estimate this kit to give the car around the 230bhp mark and i can tell from own experience car does 0-60 in under 6 seconds which is not for the faint hearted!

car has also been lowered on eibach springs over 16 inch lightweight black team dynamic wheels which give the car a nice look..

also has a full miltek exhaust system with decat pipe although i do not have this fitted as it makes the car very noisy and i like to avoid too much attention

on top of all this modification it is a well spec'd 182 inside with all the additional extras of xenon headlamps, automatic digital climate control, 6 cd changer under passenger seat etc..

only point to mention is air bag light is on as i used to have the rear seats out and light came on as soon as i removed seats so think it may just need re setting and also car has a very slight exhaust blow from cat to mid section which i just dont have time to sort out..

12 months mot
6 months tax
almost full service history just missing 1 stamp i believe

car really needs to be seen to be appreciated will not just let anyone come and test drive will be up to my discretion as to who i let drive it and full insurance will be needed to test drive

The only thing I picked up on out of that was about the rear seats. I've had mines out and I've never had an airbag light appear. I honestly wouldn't know what else to look at? Do all the usual checks, check the MOT certificate and service history.

I did think that, but history looks fine MOT's seem ok, HPI clear i done a full check. Will get under it and have a good look i think. Anyone got a low comp turbo? if so what they like?

With the airbag light coming on check under the passenger seat, the wires can sometimes come loose, turn the car on have a fiddle with them and the light may go off.

Hello everyone! Just so you know I now own this Clio! It's at ktec at the moment as its going for a remap as its been cat cammed. She's having a full service with spark plugs and oil changed along with that turbo manifold being changed too. Cambelt aux belt and all pulleys and water pump have been done too.
