HID Xenon Kit/Projector lights

  Was a 197
After seeing Pedro's Xenon's in action, and SteBurns's Projector lights (thanks guys for making me wanna spend more money!!!) i would like to seriously look at this. Just not sure which way to go.

I've read some of the posts about how with just the HID kit minus the projectors, they are illegal due to the light reflection/refraction thru the standard lenses and I'll be giving the police another reason to pull me over.

Even though on an MOT most testers will just check if the lights are working and at the right height and none of the technicalities. But unless the police have superman like vision is it easily noticeable at night that they are HID's minus the projectors as you are driving. Cost of this way is looking at a max of £80-100

Or, I can by the projectors light clusters and a HID kit, obviously i would be law abiding this way but with a bigger hole left in my pocket. To buy a HID kit and the clusters is looking about £250. Not sure whether you can get the whole thing from Renault though

Or another way, which is a hell of a lot cheaper is to just get better bulbs that are xenon look, but I'm a big believer in the saying 'There's nothing like the real thing'.

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions would be welcome

Go for it, HID's looks so much better and give off much more light. Win win really.

Definitely have them in projector lenses though, that's the only way to have HID's IMO.

Thanks,

Anyone know where to get the projector lenses from as mine are just the normal one's with no cornering lights

Id go for Renault units.

Unsure if they are straight swap on the MK3 Clios....

You have 2 options:

1) Buy the lamps new from Renault
2) Look for a rear ended MK3 with Xenons.

Would bother with a conversion kit as you say more toruble then its worth!
Plus HID kit into standard reflector is no way as nice as a projector unit.
