Highest MPGs??

  Saab 93 Aero Wagon
Well i've just refilled the car having got what i thought was a very good amount of miles from one fill up...396 to be precise!
The MPG never dropped below 41mpg and it peaked at 46mpg!

I didn't drive like a granny for 9 days either...it included a run down to Brighton and back and that involved a bit of a "play" with Midges hybrid on the A23!

Anyone else got this many miles outta their 172 or 182?
Or got a ridiculously LOW amount of miles? (more likely!)

Here is my best (or worse, depending how you look at it!), after about 300 miles over one week (no motorways). Actually nearer to 45mpg when working it out properly with fuel useage, still pretty good though!

Think I got around 15mpg at the Airfield, by far my best (worse!)

I think im gonna have a go at gettin my LOWEST mpg now as i reckon i've done my best HIGHEST...it would have been over 420 miles if i ran it nearly dry.

And i feel im doing my Cup an injustice being so well behaved....at least the Wales NW run will give me a chance to redeem myself!
Bring it on..

  Scirocco GT 210
I've had 99.9mpg, but that was cheating.

Best mpg i've had is 52mpg, that's from a 75 mile trip across Wales. That was driving like my gran on Valium mind you.

  Monaco Blue Mk2
Well I put a tenner in today from the red and 9 miles later, half of it has gone!!!! Nothing above 4k rpm either. Put an induction kit on to test on friday and fuel consumption has gone up by about 5 times. It's coming off tomorrow.

The best i've ever had was 44mpg, at the Renault Ride And Drive Day the guys driving the Megane's on the skid pan were getting returns of around 7mpg.

worst i've had is about 2/3 of a 60ltr tank in 7-10 mins.

dont know the mpg as i wasnt really concerned with it at the time......i did get pretty far thoug ;)

  Clio Dynamique 1.2 16v
After reading on here that you could get 50+ mpg by keeping the revs below 3000 i had to give it a try, so filled up yesterday so far ive done 319 miles and im getting a reading of 49.8mpg on the screen. but its doing my head it, 3000 rpm means about 60mph on the motorway lol:dead:

oh well! im on a mission to get it over the 50 mark especially as ive seen that some of you have done it!! :race:

  172 Cup
Borrowed a Xsara Picasso once to shift some stuff and got 99.9mpg on fairly long downhill.

As for the Cup managed an average of 54mpg from Brum to Dover but that was really trying hard and never exceeding 75 all the way. (Was one my way to Belgium and had to cancel my debit card and rely on the money in my pocket)

Wow! 54mpg?

Challenge is on then....who can get the furthest over 400 miles with one tank and who can get past 54mpg!

Then again...how boring will it be driving that slow??

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
lol see the funny thing here is, that with my DCi, I can get the same mpg as all of those when my car is getting pushed... a lot.

Mine's on 46.1mpg atm (over 4000miles). I might reset it this week and really go for a low figure... Though I'm meant to be saving.... lol

  White Megane R26 F1 230
This is my best...

I've also had 99.9.. Down a big hill 5th Gear and foot off the pedal!

For a 1.2 16V?! Christ I can nearly hit 50mpg in my 172 Cup! Think I could get 60mpg+ out of my 1.2 16V without trying too hard (average was about 45mpg), and I don't drive like a complete granny either.

saying that, driving normally i get about 18-20, and if i do granny driving and no faster than 60mph period, then i have hit 27mpg.

Hmmm...ok, looks like i better try harder then lol! Ill fill it up again tomorrow and see what happens over the next week! if u can get nearly 50 in your 172, then i am shocked that im getting only 49.8 in a 1.2! :S 60mpg + here i come lol

30mpg going to and from work. Best I've had is 36 when I drove edinburgh to glasgow with the cruise set to 100 ;)

  Oyster Card
I can just touch 100 miles to a tenner in the VTR which is 1.6 now I can get 80 miles to a tenner in my 1.4 MK1 and about the same in my old 1.2 MK1 Clio... French?

When i had my first impreza that could devour petrol very very quickly if the hammer went down enough

on top speed blasts was easily achieved single figure mpg.............

My general average to work everyday is 42mpg mostly on the motorway but traffic is the main problem. Don't feel the need to rant it everywhere, I keep my petrol for when its going to be worth while like a Seat Ibiza yesturday. ;)

My best is about 48 - 49 mpg that's if I go in early and hit no traffic.
