Well, been for a long drive out in the peaks with temps of about 31c. Usually in this sort of weather the car feels sluggish. Today, with my DIY IK, it was absolutely superb. The 3 air feed pipes under the car seem to be able to keep the kit cool. When I stop driving, the aluminum heat shield is only slightly warm, whereas the engine is boiling hot. Even the bonnet above the kit is cool too. Throttle response was as good as usual. The only time theres any hesitation is when setting off from a complete standstill. Provided Im doing a few mph, the airflow up the pipes is sufficient to keep a good supply of ambient air.
