How do i tell if my 182 is definately a cup??

hi,
ive just bought a clio 182,
it was advertised at a garage as a cup, and i fully believed it was/is
having done some research i now have doubts,
it has the full cup spec....manual aircon,rear bench seat, anphracite wheels, no xenon headlamps, cloth upholsterey,....
however nothing anywhere says it is a cup, i understand there should be a cup badge on the door pillars,
is it possible the previous owner wouldve wanted to remove these?
just wondered if there was any way to tell if it was definately a proper cup!!
im new to all this so any help would be greatly appreciated,
also are there any common problems i need to look out for or is it just fun fun fun??

Edit: join up, so much advice on any faults etc, but nothing to look out for sepsifically

defo a cup, FF have leather seats and xenons

I don't think the 182 had the cup badge on the pillars. The fact you have no Xenon or Aircon would suggest this is the cup model.

I think dealers we're supposed to add them after shipping (as with the splitter) mnay couldn't be fucked.

Or the were nicked... Isn't the engine missing the cover on the cup or did I dream that as well?

Colour would be another indication, IIRC weren't they either inferno or racing blue

Lol - it's a common mis-spelt item on here - referring to the wheels. They are anthracite, but people call them amphasite or something similar when taking the piss.

only thing annoys me about the cup is the shite interior - i can live without climate control, xenons, cruise etc but the cloth seats are just s**t

the normal 182 seats are really nice,
i was a bit dissapointed when i got in the cup to be honest!!!!

A mint set can be had for around £350 on here if you ever wanted to upgrade anyway, so I wouldn't be too bothered

182's came with 2 types of cup badges, some chrome on door pillers and some a anthracite sticker. Mine had the stickers which I removed. The chrome ones come off easy when jetwashed, had them on my 172cup.

Its 20Kg heavier......thats like a 1/4 of my body weight, id take that for leather seats, xenonx and air con :approve:

20kg is absolutely no difference in the car really.

I weigh 65kg, so your normal guy is prob 85-90kg in weight.

What i lost from having the FF 182, i gained by being lightweight.

ff is normal 182....with cup packs u get all the toys and cup extras for a mere 20KG. Seems alot more reasonable

it was the colour that attracted me to the one ive bought!!
i didnt even look into the spec or differences between the two until after i paid my deposit!!
impulse buying!!!!!!!
cant wait to pick it up!!!

yeah i went from a 1.2 16valve beauty to a 182 cupped! its artic blue and i love it! as soon as i test drove it i was like whooooooooo!

took my old baby out for a thrash the other day (an excuse to clean the engine) and it felt like i was trying to steer a boat with a broken rudder when going into corners LOL! such a difference

my first car was a clio 1.2 8valve!!! which i loved ,
but had to sell for something a bit bigger when my mrs (now ex) decided to get pregnant, i thought a 5 door 306 was more practical,
but after wanting a 182 since i first saw 1, i decided to treat myself!!!!

It sounds like a Cup yu have bought mate.

Does it have a rear spoiler and a splitter below the front bumper ?
Don't worry if it doesn't as there sometimes broken and not replaced.

ff is normal 182....

A full fat 182 is a normal 182 with both the cup packs. A normal 182 is a normal 182 not an FF.
