How Easy Would It Be To Remove The Spare Wheel Housing Thingy?

  Coiley'd Clio PH2
Right this idea might be a bit radical but im sure its been done before.... cant be that hard surely.
Well i have takn my spare wheel out and i am going up to prospeed tomoro to have an exhaust fitted (182 style jobby) and i was just wondering how easy it would be to cut out the spare wheel housing and weld it up using the bottom of the housing :S If that makes sense.

Cheers

Ruin a car to make it look crap? 172 with 182 exhaust never look quite right to me. Get a nice cut in single exit.

i think itd be easier to cut a circle sheet of steel to size and weld that in, rather than trying to get the old well to fit as its gonna be too small (i think) to fill the hole left. you would need to add bits of metal all around it anyway.

would look alot neater with just 1 solid sheet welded in and sealer brushed around it

dont do it, its like seem welding a car, everything has to be unstressed and perfectly straight otherwise it changes the chassis geometry + it would make it really hard to sell. KTR make an exhaust that go around it, take a picture of that with you
