How f*cked is this?

Horrid noise when on turning left from my drivers side front wheel.

Jacked the car up and had the mrs wiggle my wheel.. Oh. My spring is wonky, and its rubbing on the body work as the wheel turns. Whats occuring? Just a badly fitted spring, wrong type, broken?

Is this safe to drive for now?

@Phase1sr - the clunking has stopped after the track rods and ball joints, but this is the steering noise

Good bud, they where fcuked. [emoji2]

It needs looking at bud.

Is that the new odd spring that's been fitted?

Yeah I think its that new single spring the last owner had put in for the MOT. It may not even be a sport spring for all I know!

Im with @Scrooge in September. I may be cheeky and see if he will take a look for me!

You can see straight away the end isn't sitting correctly in the bottom cup as we shouldn't be able to see the end, likely the top end isn't in its correct position either

  Ex 182 owner
is it just my eyes that thinks the shock also looks bent???.....probably just me eyes

It looks like the top is seriously misaligned to me. Bottom might be Ok.

It's certainly not seated properly, I'll take a look dude

Cheers Ant (and everyone else!).

I knew when I bought the car I would want new springs anyway, as the previous owner replaced a single spring, and I dont like that.

I've bought some Eibachs now from the forum. @Scrooge - Fancy fitting some springs at the same time? ;-)
