How i know if cam has been done

Hi , bought my car at 80,000 miles and the owner didnt know if belt had been done , it drives fine at 84,000 now, i assume its been done but want to be sure , cant find any service history on it ....
Any help appreciated !

For the sake of £200 (ish) I'd just get it done.

There's no way of checking a cambelt, it may look brand new but what about the rest of the kit? If a tensioner snaps, bye bye engine.

check with renault would be first option.

Otherwise as Dan has said, get it done!!

Gonna ring up the last company who serviced it as it has been taken there every time , hopefully on their history ! Surely a car wouldnt last 84,000 without it being done?

you dont know, its only rubber, could go at anytime.

They can. Mine lasted from new; 90,000km/8 years.
