How low does your valver exhaust hang?

  Valver
My mid sections seems to be hanging quite low, been checked by a couple of garages who say it seems to be ok, although one said the cat might possible be fitted upside-down which could cause the pipe to be angled down instead of up?
Anyone got any side pics of standard 16v where you can see the exhaust?

Mine hangs really low but I managed to fix it by slightly ovaling the bolt holes on the decat. I then push the exhaust up as high as it would go and tightened it up and it seems fine, or it did until yesterday when I had 5 people and my install in and the tailpipe was scraping on the floor lol.

See ya

mine has zerop droop, cant even see any of it.

Install it properly and it wont hang, get some new rubbers.

I just can't see how you could get it not to hang down so much. I'm not questioning BenR in anyway (I know he's like a car god ;)) but I just can't see how it would be possible to get it to sit flush with the underside of the car.

Has anyone got any pics of how low/high theirs hangs?

Mid section on mine hangs really low, everytime I go over speed bumps in the car park it scrapes (standard exhaust), couldn't see any brackets to hold it up though?

I depends on the middle section tbh, my valver was standard, but the exhaust began to blow so I bought & fitted another centre section, the new one sat very low so it used to scrape on bumps. I got the pin hole in the other one welded & fitted it back on & it was fine.

The exhaust rubbers used to wear out pretty often too (they were only the the cr*p black rubber ones though) the car used to go thru a set every year, the one by the exit of the exhaust was the worst.
