How much for a stolen / recovered 172 Cup?

But on asking for the reg to run an HPI check, they've said it's CatD stolen / recovered. Keeping in mind that the cambelt has NOT been changed either, what price would you offer?

I was thinking along the lines of a grand less, at least.

I'd want to be closer to 3k than 3.5k, especially with no cambelt done.

Cheers guys, I did call him about it. To be honest I've spoken to him about 4 times today regarding various things and I made a point of asking him to let me know any issues with it and he said nothing was wrong "I'd let you know mate, considering you're coming up from Exeter"... then I asked for the reg.

He's not even entertaining an offer under £4k on the phone, so not going to bother wasting my time yet. I'm sure he knows some mug will buy it without checking...
