hi everyone I hope this is ok to post but i need some advice
i have been the owner of a Clio van for the last 14 years but sadly it's time to say good bye , with children and daddy day care duties i just need more seats
I'm a self employed electrician and have used the van for my business since buying it new , it's only covered 68k miles with full service history and almost every options box ticked when i bought it
roof rack , towbar , full length parcel shelf , sports kit
i need to sell it with in a week as the new vehicle is ordered , the dealers have offered me £300 but i'm loved to trade in such a well loved van for this
Is a 14 year old clio van just a cheap van and worthless or are they a bit special ?
do i take the trade in money and move on or sell it ?
if so where and for how much , do i take the gamble of ebay and start low and see what i get or is a more specialist market such as your selves a better market ?
you just don't seem to see these vans for sale so have no idea what they are worth and what market to advertise it in
do they go cheap as they are to small for most builders looking for a van or is the smallness something that people look for
can anyone offer any advice please ?
It's the DCI 65What engine is it? DCi? If so, 65, 80 or 100?
I would put it on ebay, 99p start. As long as it runs well, looks clean and tidy in the pics and the advert is well written, you should be doubling £300, minimum. More if it's 80 or 100.
Agreed. At least £500 will be required. What engine is it? DCi? If so, 65, 80 or 100?

£2000.Hi All -
Not sure if this is the correct place for this thread, car is technically not for sale at the moment just judging interest and price point.
I'm thinking of selling my 172 Cup, spec as follows:
2001 Clio Mk2 172 Cup
Mondial Blue circa 117000 miles
Bodywork OK - plenty of dings and chips - its a track car and so expect it to be less than show quality. No rust or serious dents though.
This is a proper trackday car, loads of fun, pulls very well and handles like its on rails.
Suspension & Brakes
H&R Coilovers, rear springs and shocks
15mm spacers all round
Brembo HC Max front discs with DS2500 pads
Stock rear discs with OE brembo pads
Full Service History
16" Genuine Turini Wheels with tyres that are on the limit, badly in need of refurb but only used for rolling around currently.
Whiteline Rear ARB
Engine
RS stamped inlet
New genuine NGK Spark Plugs installed less than 2000 miles ago
PTFE gaskets
Ramair induction filter with samco blue intake hose
standard exhaust
Polybushed Dogbone Mount
Cambelt, Water Pump, Aux belt and dephaser changed by Ktec less than 2000 miles ago.
Fully serviced by Ktec less than 2000 miles ago
Leaky Sump Gasket changed by rentech less than 500 miles ago
According to the service history, gearbox was rebuilt around 60k miles
Track Prep
Ebay Roll Cage professionally powder coated in yellow
Interior Stripped and rattle can painted in mondial blue to match the exterior
Flocked dash and A pillars
Skoda Fabia Splitter
Oreca Suede Racing Wheel (flat) can't remember the diameter but its perfect for the track and a lot smaller than the standard bus wheel.
Aggressive Brake Ducts fitted to foglight holes (proper ones not base ports)
Aluminium Toe Eye fitted
I also have 2 sets of 15" wheels, one set of OZ wheels and one generic set, both black. OZ wheels are wrapped in 2 x R888R with one trackday use, and 2 x Marangoni Zeta (rears) with a fair bit of tread left.
Generic wheels are wrapped in 4 x scrubbed Rainsport 3's - practically brand new.
The car is currently fitted with OMP subframes, and Sparco Rev Buckets, complete with black sabelt 4 point harnesses. I'd be looking to sell without the seats, but happy to fit a cheap ebay seat if needed. Seats can be included for the right price.
What do you guys think this lot is worth? Happy to sell on here, but judging interest and price point at the moment.
Cheers
Tom
