***How much is it worth?***

Hiya, just registered here 1st post go easy.
I'm looking at a flame Red ph1 today. 104k miles No mot and no cambelt change, the dude wants £2500. I'm not fully up on prices but is reasonable? Mot and belts + £600, this stands me at about £3000 roughly. Thoughts??
Not fully up to speed with Phase 1 prices as i have Mk2 182's. Doesn't sound that cheap to me tbh. No MOT, does it say what it failed on? Depending how anal you are, you can end up throwing thousands at these cars if they're poorly maintained - ask me how i know haha.

Then there's the corrosion. Have you had a good look under the rear beam towards the chassis legs, inside the petrol flap, down the inside of the rear quarter panels, bottom of the rear sills and inner wheel arches? Most PH1's i've seen are rotten.

A lad at work has just paid £1,400 for a Mk2 172. It's a shed but that sounds about right for a rough example these days.

My two cents worth.

That seems like really strong money for a car with no MOT and in need of a cambelt change. While the flame red phase 1's are pretty rare, I'd say that's probably worth £2k max if it's not rotten underneath and it's all original inside. Judging by the bumper quick releases, I'd say its had a relatively rough life as a track car.

For comparison, I bought my black phase 1 in September 2020 for £2750 with 128k miles, with no rust anywhere and fully refreshed suspension.

Purchased :) I got it for 22 in the end. Its been of the road since 2018 as the previous owner had a baby. History looks clean enough really. Semi happy so far *until the mot anyway lol. I'll just polish it on the drive if it fails miserably lol. Appreciate the replies, I'm here to stay.

Hi I’ve got a BG 182 FF with both cup packs and thinking of selling soon. 70k on it possibly a tiny bit more. 1 previous owner. I’ve had it about 12 years ish possibly longer, always serviced by the same Renault specialist garage so continuous record available and fully kept care of. Completely standard apart from scorpion exhaust. Any thoughts on guide price?

When are the belts due?

If it’s really tidy (rust wise) and got a couple of years left on the belts and nice tyres, probably £4500-5k.

Thanks for the reply. I think there is a year or two on the belts. It’s got 2 decent tyres on the front I think but would need to replace the others. Bit of bubbling on one of the arches and alloys do need a refurb.

Sounds like £3750 to me. But aim high, plenty of people wanting to re-live their youth and buy low owner standard cars. I think it will sell for good money.

I'd say around £3k. Rust bubbling around the arch will most likely need cutting out and new metal welding in, spraying etc... which is gonna cost a few quid. Then you've got alloys needing a refurb another couple of hundred quid. Plus at least 2 new tyres, possibly 4 if the tyres you say are decent are some cheapo budget tyres
You're unsure exactly when the belts need doing another £700 ish.
So somebody wanting a bit of a project wanting to get it back to a decent standard are going to have to spend a fair bit on it.
Then again you might get somebody who doesn't care less and will just run it as is so you might see a bit of a higher price.
All in my opinion of course.

It's an odd one, if you knew nothing about them it's possibly 3750 as Daniel has said. Knowing what I know now, if there are but bubbles on an arch there will be more lurking, fuel filler area, rear door cards off have a look at the sills etc..

But the miles and both cup packs help so 3k ish would be the kind of money someone who knows a bit about them would likely pay.

As above. Start cheeky at 4k and see how you go!

Thanks guys. Think the ok tyres are Pilot Sports from memory. I’m going to get a few things sorted on it first as it been sat around (I’ve got a trophy as well…) but won’t be doing the full works on it.

So I have a company car coming next week and selling the Clio (as much as it pains me) means I can buy a house. With prices now being all over the place I need an idea on how much to list this for?

Black gold full fat
87k
14 stamps in service history book
Belts (with proof) 03/19
No rust
Mot Oct 2022
Bilstein b14s (with receipt)
OE cup suspension also supplied
Scorpion resonated exhaust and decat (with receipt)
Mapped at efi for 98ron and decat (made 182bhp) no eml lights on
Good clean interior with oe stereo
All mots and work done in the past 3 years in a folder
Original boot net and jack kit
Gearbox oil changed with last service at Diamond motors

Bad bits
Scuff on rear arch (see pic)
Couple car park dents on drivers door (not really noticeable but they are there) the odd stone chip etc
Steering wheel has signs of melting but thumb grips are good.
Tyres as much as being legal could do with being changed

Having sold my fair share of 172/182 in various forms over the years and recently, I would say the above estimates for both those cars are very reserved in the current market.

Both are low owners, low mileage for age and look pretty good. I obviously have not seen them, but would list both over 4k

I agree 4k all day long as it looks unmolested, not many aren't these days.

Probably won't appeal to a lot of buyers on marketplace etc...who want ow't for now't, lowered springs, seats out (twack/road car) and would probably ruin it anyway. But there's definately a buyer out there (possibly on here) for it at that money who wants a car as close to oem as possible. I'd stick it on Autotrader.

  Mint 1*2's for sale-
I would say £3-3250 base price + the recaros probably increases to £4500
But mileage a killer on price

  Clio 182 FF
I'm thinking of selling my clio 182 in order to fund a bike..
Titanium 182
87k-ish miles
Full service history + folder of previous work
All standard apart from poly exhaust mount + solid top mounts
MOT till Sept but could will most likely put a fresh one on before sale
Had full cambelt job done by reputable specialist in Feb 2022
In good overall condition with just a few age related marks as to be expected
Any ideas on rough value??
TIA

They’ve been going for daft money at the start of this year. Seen them sell anywhere between 3 to 5.5k. A lad on here paid the latter for one recently (and it turned out to be a turd).

I think prices in general are cooling a little but if I were to hazard a guess I’d go for 4K and see what interest you get. Last year I’d have said 3k for Silver. Seems good ones are getting harder to find so people aren’t overly fussed on colours.

Ok, I’ll embarrass myself first 😂

Prices have cooled a little with fuel prices but I think the person who buys yours won’t be too bothered about that. I’d hazard a guess and say somewhere between £12-£14,000 for the car on its own. You’d easily sell those spares individually so I’d go down that route personally.

Lol that need a refurb?
Believe so , Not 100% on it but it was over Facebook.

If someone wants a rare item bad enough that you can't get they will pay the money.

I personally know what I would take but it would be up to the person that buys the car if they wanted all the spares.
