Just had belts done within the last 100 miles.
New tyres on the front.
Paint work is good with a some chips as you would expect.
The 2 front wheels have a bit of curbing but its not that bad.

How much would people say this is worth?

172 cup
Few ktec bits
95k
short tax and mot til end of jan
Has a crunch going into 5th gear

Seen it for sale for a grand.

Try and do my bit :) Feel free to amend as anyone with more knowledge see's fit.

Ph1 172
114k
Loads of MOT
Zero history, apart from what I've done (Serviced etc)
A/C Delete
Bridgestone RE01R's

Think anyone would be interested in a deal with a ph2?

With 114K and zero history you're going to be looking at £1k tops IMO. Without proof it needs belts doing which adds £500 so you're basically valuing it at £1500 for a 114k mile 172.

172 on a '51 plate, Black, 99000 Miles.

Plenty of service history, reciepts for belts last year etc.

Tax and mot' till next year

Good condition for year

View attachment 86996

Not the best pic lol or alloys

Get rid of the tints and alloys! Again, in standard condition I'd say around £1500 tops. I wouldn't buy anything looking like that though, sorry.

After xmas I’m looking to sell my clio as I will be taking ownership of my dad’s mk1 Focus RS so I’m just trying to get a ball park figure of how much my car is worth:

Details.
  • 2004 Clio 182, I’m the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] owner
  • Will be on roughly 46k when it comes to selling it.
  • Full Service History
  • Both Cup Packs
  • Will have MOT till end of August 2013 and 6 months Tax
  • Cambelt and Aux belt swapped in 2009 at 25k
The car was purchased last January by myself and in April I took it to Diamond Motors (Renault specialist) to have a service and upon close inspection it was discovered the cam cover had a minor oil leak so I had this fixed and all the belts including the dephasor replaced at a cost of £600.

Modifications

  • Recaro Trendlines (in pristine condition - no wear whatsoever)
  • Scorpion RS192 Cat Back Stainless Exhaust System
  • Eibach Proline Springs
  • ITG Panel Filter
  • Brembo High Carbon Discs
  • Ferrodo DS2500 Pads on Front
  • Braided Brake Lines all round
  • Arctic Blue Painted Engine Cover
  • Small cosmetic mods – Silvervisions, Alloy foot rest and smaller aerial
The Previous owner always had it serviced by Birchdown
Service History (previous owner)
  • 10/11/2008 (22087 miles) – Service. Replacement Front Discs (Brembo HC) & Pads
  • 25/08/2009 (25740 miles) – Cambelt Service & MOT. Scorpion Exhaust Fitted
  • 16/09/2009 (26255 miles) – New Post-Cat Lambda Sensor
  • 06/07/2010 (29820 miles) – Eibach Proline Springs Fitted
  • 17/08/2010 (30542 miles) – Service & MOT. DS2500 Pads fitted, New Rear Shocks
  • 25/01/2011 (32800 miles) – Recaro’s Fitted and 4 new tyres fitted (Michelin PE2’s)
  • 28/07/2011 (35100 miles) - Service & MOT
  • 15/08/2011 (36524 miles) – PAS Pump & Aux Belt Replaced, Scorpion centre section fitted (Scorpion supplied the part under lifetime warranty)
In my ownership:
  • 10/04/2012 (40,000 Miles) Service at Diamond Motors.
  • 22/04/2012 (40,500 Miles) All belts including dephasor replaced at Diamond Motors.
I have all the service history from previous owners too. As you can see the car has wanted for nothing whilst in my and the previous owners ownership, Obviously as the car is now approaching 7 years old, it does have a few stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper. The steering wheel is in very good condition and has not suffered from melting.

The N/S/F alloy has a bit of kerbing and a 2 inch scuff on one of the spokes (I’m normally so careful parking the car next to kerbs!), the other alloys are in very good condition.

so whats it worth guys?

With belts all done by Mick this year, low mileage and the recaros it makes for quite an attractive sale. Colour is a slight let down as if it were RB it would be one of the few ph2's still worth £3750-4K ish with that spec. I'd guess in AB around £3250ish, but hard to value due to Mod's. Probably make more back splitting parts off unfortunately. Recaro's ~ £750, Exhaust ~ £250, but then I guess the car is a less attractive buy for someone.

2000 X reg Ph1 172 in silver.
1 owner from new (me:D)
51000 miles
Part service history
2 months tax
Excellent condition ( never had an accident, hardly a scratch.)
I think i've got all the old tax discs and mot's
Driven until yesterday when my insurance ran out.

Bad points: Speedo is intermittent, power steering pump needs changing (I think), mot ran out a last month but should pass when the power steering and speedo have been fixed (it hasn't failed one yet), steering wheel is worn as usual, bit of an oil leak.

Need to sell as my wife is getting a family car and i'm having her Honda :S
Need a price that will shift it quick or i'll px it.
Thanks in advance Mick.

Fix it and get it MOT'd and I reckon £2k still for a good condition low mileage ph1 (assuming the belts have been done. If belts are not done and all that is still broken with no MOT then be prepared to let it go for under a grand :(

Liquid yellow '55 plate 182 with both cup packs
96,000 miles
all service history
just had:

new cup shocks and springs all round
all new tyres
all new brake disks and pads
full service
also has yozza sport exhaust and carbon bits in the engine bay

thanks

lynden

LY's prices are the worst! Probably worth PM'ing the guy in the classifieds who just sold. You'll either get someone who desperately wants LY or you'll get someone that doesn't want a 99k Clio! Very little mid ground on this I'd imagine.

Blue 172 cup 53 plate 35000 fsh cambelt this year. Mint condition inside and out. How much is it worth?

If as described and the belts were done by someone respectable, Mint low mileage cup I'd price at £2999 :)

Dan/Steve, are those valuations in the right ballpark?

Cracking input there Wick, you must be looking at buying again to be doing that well with the figures?

In the new year mate, yes :) Toyed with a mk3 but for now I'm set on an RB 182 or possibly ph1 (11 year old shed reliability might be an issue now though). Need rid of the VX first and I've just passed up on buying the most epic spec'd 130i ever... My sensible head reigned and decided cheap french motoring was the way forward.

I've had very little interest in the Trophy, Is £4,200 a high asking price considering the spec?

Can someone provide some input on the price/advert?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130813554721?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Get a new boot carpet, yours is minging (£10)

Fit the engine cover.

Take the private plate off it so its ready to go.

Reduce it to £3999. (For when people search upto £4000)

Put it on Pistonheads/Autotrader if you haven't already, ebay is the devil.

(The car looks AMAZING by the way!! Real credit to you)

Going DVLA on monday to sort the plate.

I was probably going to reduce it, but thats a going point of of up £4k.

Its on not on AT but is on PH, here, ClioTrophy, BabyBMW and Gumtree (lol)

I think I'll be able to get a new boot carpet from somewhere.

Cheers, Daniel.

The thing is, by putting it up at £4200, you are missing a large chunk of audience. The ones that search Upto £4k.

It's only a £200 reduction but if that means the difference between it taking 4 months to sell or 4 weeks, then IMO, its got to be done,

I would say 2k. but its a small market for them as not many people like the colour, the wheels or the leather.

2,800 tops IMO. Unfortunately probably the least desirable colour for a 182.

About 2k from me as well.

Cheers, it makes a lot of sense actually. I'll reduce it tomorrow!

Jon it's well priced, just sit tight :) Lovely Trophy, and a steal IMO.

Oh, and it has a personalised number plate with "172s" in it what I had valued at £800

Sell the plate separately then, you're never getting that back on resale value.

1200 ish with/without the plate almost IMO.

All I was thinking is that it might help with the sale, and the plate came with the car so it doesn't owe me anythink

That's fair enough then. Just noticed you mentioned damage, so Harphams 1k is probably more accurate depending on how bad that it.

When I say £1k btw, I mean that as the best case scenario. You've got to remember that you can pick up Ph1's for <£1k nowadays (even my Sunflower was well below £1k), so one that is above 100k miles, has a bit of damage and is modified becomes less desirable imo.

Emma. I'd say priced at 3k assuming hpi clear with a view to sell around 2800. I'd almost be tempted to sell the recaros and b14's as a tidy cup is still going to be worth similar money give or take a few hundred and those bits are worth a almost a grand :)

  '03 MCS, MKV Ed30
61k

Gaz Coilovers w/damper adjustment
Custom cat-back exhaust system (all boxes and cat present - sounds perfect imo)
Freshly refurbed OZF1 with contisport tyres
FLI 5 speaker upgrade
Pioneer bluetooh stereo
0 gauge subwoofer wiring (custom sub but would have to workout price)
Detailed weekly so perfect paintwork minus the odd few scratches from previous ownership.

FSH & Belts done 2011.
1 Previous owner.
Bought from French Dealership originally.

if I was ever to sell it I'd break it for parts. It would pain me massively though :(

faults - aircon not working, parking sensors not working, needs a new chain as this was the model with the dodgy chain. body work has a number of dents and scratches on it.

subject to the chain the engine is just fine
